Flagship Project

This project is a collaboration between Make Hearth Architects and Khaya Building Co. Marrying the strong nature of hardwood timber with soft earthen walls to create balance within the home. Timber frames the openings placed high up in the space creating a feature, drawing in light & encouraging cross ventilation. Textured walls rendered with clay and lime following the curves of the earthen materials for soft, breathable comfort inside. Using openings to capture the natural elements outside, bringing light & shadows into the space
